A game changer and disruptive force in the cloud based call center is Amazon and the Amazon Connect Center. Smashing the market with a new subscription model in which you pay only for connected minutes at the rate of .018 cents per minute! There are no licenses and not contracts. You do not need to be an engineer to log into AWS with your Amazon book buying credentials and spin up a call center. In less than 30 minutes you can add phone numbers, create inbound customer service queues, add agents and be taking phone calls with nothing more than a USB headset plugged into a computer running a Chrome browser.

The system is very basic however. Features like a holiday schedule or voice mail do not exist out of the box. The good news is that anything you can think up, from speech recognition, to translations, transcriptions, AI Bots and advanced CRM integrations are services that exist in the AWS ecosystem. You will however, have to build them yourself and that will require internal software engineering expertise or the use of an outside professional service group.

Dextr is an advanced agent dashboard that wraps around an Amazon Connect call center to provide a full range of OMNI-channel features including voice, email routing, sms/mms routing and chat integration. Dextr offers real time metrics, voice mail and a list of features that would make the most demanding call center supervisor very happy! Dextr is also a “metered” rate that costs about $1 a day per eight hour agent shift! When ordered through the Amazon Market place, you get a single bill for both the call center and the Dextr dashboard.

If you do not have an Amazon Connect call center, we offer a flat rate deployment option for about $1500! Contact us or visit the DrVoIP website for details. In the mean time, take a look at the feature set Dextr brings to the basic Amazon Connect contact center instance.
